Teams play a significant role in helping companies become more flexible and adaptable to changing events.
List and explain Tuckman’s five stages of the development model that focuses on team progression (from the Work Teams course). Write 20-50 words for each stage.
Five Stage of the Development Model:
Forming
In this stage, team members are just getting to know each other. Roles are unclear, and members often behave independently. There’s usually excitement mixed with anxiety about expectations and responsibilities.
Storming
Conflict and competition may arise as individuals begin to push against boundaries. This stage can be tense, with disagreements over goals, roles, and leadership, but it’s necessary for growth.
