You are an HR Manager for an International Information Technology (IT) company based in the UK. A junior worker has received positive appraisals over his three years with the company. The Executive Director (ED) has concerns about his performance: The ED claims that he makes too many mistakes affecting the business strategic decisions. The ED is constantly asking his supervisor to document the junior worker’s poor performance. The ED is considering transferring the junior worker to another location. On the contrary, the supervisor thinks that the junior worker is an industrious employee and should not be transferred. However, the supervisor cannot afford to lose his own job if he does not abide by the ED instructions.
